Title: Battery & Accelerator
Post by: iagree on March 25, 2009, 09:43:13 AM
Hello guys,

Long time no see.

One question.

Recently, after I stop/slow down @ traffic/light, then when I accelerate again, I can feel it is abit 'odd kind of feeling' (not very serious yet) which I do not know how to describe...

I am guessing, the Battery is already been used for about 1.5yrs already. The above "issue" related to the Battery? Or the weakness of a "Battery" will only valid when we start our engine (bo lat?)

Awaiting for info.

Thanks.

Regards.

hi iagree

Based on my limited knowledge, shouldn't be due to battery. If it is due to battery, your electronic devices such as air con, radio, lights will flicker when you stop/slow down @ traffic/light, then accelerate again.

Correct me if i am wrong, pls

is yours CVT model ?
CVT's pick up is very slow from stop to start position. Mine feel the same too. once on momentum, it can easily beat BMW anytime, anywhere.... :yehyeh:

Could it be cvt needs change of the oil ? cvt tends to be more 'problematic' than the conventional 4AT.

If u can beat a BWM, it means that they see us not even qualify to compete with them. Otherwise a BMW would not cost 3 times as much than a latio.

iagree,

Did you check your tyres?

Are they properly inflated?

h clarence,

not sure leh.
when i had my 37000km service with tcm in Jan09. i thk they do check my tyres n pump air.
last mth, i did chk n pump once before, nothing much to add / pump in leh. how ah?

inflated is? meaning, let go all the air and repump the fresh new air into the 4 tyres?

thanks.

Wat i meant is the cvt transmission oil. They are people who needs to change it more frequently (think less than the scheduled 40k interval, not sure cause mine is the 4AT), and even the gear box. There is some mentions of it in this forum. There are also people who already driven for 4 years without problem.

I meant you should check if your tyres have sufficient air, at the recommended tyre pressure.

For me, I pump 230KPa for front and back tyres when tyres are cold.

hi bro actually in theory nissan cvt should be even more maintaince friendly than 4at as the recommended interval is 60k or 3 yrs for cvt oil change
