Is the exhaust pipe too low? Many times already when reverse parking, the exhaust hit the tyre stopper. Any bros experience this?
-
if compare to sedan the sport is lower
-
hmmm... anyway to rectify this problem?
-
dun think can do anything on it...
just leave it loh..
because not only the exhaust is low - the bumper front and back are also quite low, plus kns spring, our undercarriage no point protecting :glare:
-
heard some of the guys oso complain the suspension too soft.. they change it or add coil i tink.. will it result in the exhaust pipe not being too low?

I think we have the same problem, my worry is that the pipe might be damaged after taking so many hits. Any bros here increase the height of their ride before thru TCM?
-
Can just insert spring stifferner to increase height by about 1 finger to the rear. Ride comfort remains the same

The car is not that long, right? Why do you have to reverse all the way in until the exhaust pipe scrap the kerb or whatever? :confused1:

I changed to better muffler stifferner as the stock ones are pretty soft thus causin the muffler & exhaust tip to hit or scrap kerbs.
Afterwhich my exhaust is able to clear most of the kerbs whenever i reverse park my sedan latio.

hmm.. will it lift up the car very high? heard some guys who changed coil or spring stifferner complained their latios look like SUV...
-

Ok, will be installing them this weekend. U install all 4 or just the rear?
I intend to install at the rear only.
-
hehehe...
& i tot i was the only one kena butt scratched!
after those few butt scrapes...me now more careful when reverse parking...me imagine me driving sedan...give more butt space..& oso..before parking...me look at the kerb...see how high..just to make meself more aware.
just make few minor adjustments to our not so good parking habits lah...we'll be fine.

TCM won;t do for you. You need to go erev. cost abt $60
TCM will only replace your soft spring to hard spring. But the latio will look a bit high .

My Latio Sports also everytime knock onto the tyre stopper when reverse parking, up to a point that when I travel for 2km+, when during stopping at traffic lights, can hear rattling sound coming from rear of the car, exhaust area. :crycry:
Until 1 day cannot tahan anymore, went back to TCM and they say will be doing re-alignment of exhaust for me, damage is $35.
After that, no sound liao. :yehyeh:
