Title: Latio Tilted to One Side
Post by: space2638 on April 22, 2009, 03:03:07 PM
Dear All,

I am driving a Feb 2007 Latio Sports CVT. After 30,000km, the Latio is tilted to the right(driver side). (The tilt is visible by just looking at the car from the front or back)
Can anyone advice if I should swap the springs left to right or is it the shock absorbers? I'm worried that this might compromise the safety of the car at high speeds since I typically cruise slightly above 100km/h.

Is it this considered a fault , and be rectified as under-warranty?

Fyi, I'm not overweight.. haha... I am 72kg.  :bleh:
Best Regards
George

I had a smiliar issue like yours. Slightly tilted to the driver's side from the back. During my 5K servicing, asked TC to rectify it.

Wah so scary....care to share what was the problem found? Does it happen to sedan version also?

Mine's the sedan premium. I assumed that the tilt was due to the soft suspensions.

Mine is just almost 1 yr old and tilts to the driver's side too.

I was wondring if it could be due to me frequently driving alone, so there's no front seat passenger to "balance" out the suspension and shocks?

lol... thanks for all the replies! =) I'll be at TC Ubi later (24/04/09 morning) to get them to check it.. any lations will be there?

So sorry I don't have any pictures as it's quite hard to capture using a camera....

The ride still steers normally, but still... i don't like the feeling that my ride is tilted to the right... i drive daily to and from Changi to BoonLay and back... alone. haha.. that may be the problem i guess. one-sided weight on the suspension

Two questions:
1. If you're cruising at say 90kmh and let go your hands, does your car veer to one side?
2. Do you see higher wear on the right tyres than the left ones?

Hey all! I'm back... the car is fine now.

TCM has changed two things (reflected on the receipt) but i donno wat it is actually:

1. BODY COMB (smth to do with the steering?)
2. STEERING LINK

hope it helps

1. Most cars will veer to one side unless on a very very extremely level road. The rate at which my car does so is quite normal.
2. Nope! Perfectly normal wear on both sides, maybe because i am very observant and detected this early on (yeah i try to find fault with the car b4 my warranty ends) hahaha...
