Title: Insurance NCD matters
Post by: alghojo on May 14, 2009, 05:58:21 PM
In May 2006, i bought a Sunny fr TCM and insured with AIG. May 2007 change insurance to Liberty and 2008 renewed with Liberty. Feb 2009 change car to Latio fr TCM and insurance was AIG and I declare NCD 20%.
Today received letter fr AIG saying that I wrongly declared my NCD and they already verified this with my previous insurer which they state was AIG ( i believe is wrong cos i change to Liberty). They asking to top up $115.
Already calle Liberty and they say my NCD was 20%. Not able to call AIG as they already close for the day.
Any bros can advice if i can use my NCD from my previous insurer to my current insurer? Or anyone came across this kind of thing?

should be able to use leh..

U can try calling ur current insurace to call ur last insurance (Liberty) to verfiy .

as far as i know, when ur old insurance release ur policy to the new one>> they will pass your NCD information to them leh

Exactly but in the letter they say they actually check with AIG instead of Liberty. What a ******** up.

Maybe you need to inform AIG to check with Liberty instead ?

Your previous Ins cert should show the amount of NCD. Maybe just fax a copy to AIG

in order to have ur ncd transfered to ur next vehicle, it must be done within a year period afterwhich ur ncd willl be void.
