Title: SPARK PLUGS CHANGED = Engine idling goes up to 1500 RPM

SPARK PLUGS CHANGED = Engine idling goes up to 1500 RPM. May I know what causes this and how to solve this problem.  Thanks.

Does it still idle at 1500 even after the car warm up? Like, after driving 10min.

spark plugs has no relation to engine idling speed

Is it possibily due to change of thicker engine oil after the servicing, when your car is relatively new ?

After warmup, still idling at 1500 RPM. No servicing done. Only changed spark plugs. Do not understand what could have cause this problem.  Is it possible that spark plug bridge was not fitted back properly or inlet manifold leak causing extra air to be suck in?

go back check with the workshop. let them troubleshoot for you.

What is ur current mileage?? why u need to change it?

U sure them install the current spark plugs model for u?

Mechanic claimed that have to send back to Tanchong for tuning.
Current mileage more than 100,000 km.
Correct spark plug pirchased by me from Fong Tat.

Wild guess maybe the mechanic accidentally messed up other parts when changing your spark plugs.   :ohmy:
