if go back TCM, must book appointment time or can just "drive-in"?

also, roughly how much would the charges be?

would i be able to fix it at outside car shops?

You can just drive in and request for a quote, should be no obligation to get repair at TCM.

They may check if it is cause by your 'buaying' on the hump, or the poor workmanship. Then decide if you need to pay for the repair.

That's just a cover. Secured by bolts with fixed nut. I removed b4 to recover by battery cap.
