I noticed that most bros usually upgrade to a bigger RIM if they change their stock rims. Are there any significant benefits (comestic aside) or justification for someone to change their stock 15in sports rims to a after market one of the same size?
The only reason that i can think of is weight...the stock rims is rather heavy but i'm not sure how much benefits we can get if we were to change to a lighter rims of the same size.
Any bros can share their views on this and what are the popular Rims available for 15in and cost?

I am on stock but I also want to know.
I guess part of the reason is you can't fit wider tyre (for better dry handling) on stock rim. changing to 16" rim plus lower profile tyre ( for rigid turning) to match stock rim + stock tyre diameter to avoid error in speedo meter and other ECU computation.
weight, I guess lighter will give better pickup but more bumpy. heavy rim then higher inertia thus car will not bump so much on rough surface. may be I am wrong, any pro can correct me?
Design, easier to clean, more opening for air to cool rotor or dirt/mud to stick on it. If you drop different rim from 13 floor, I guess some design will have less dent (rigid rim) than other.

Even if the stock 15" rims are heavy, I don't think that meagre extra bit of petrol consumed can justify paying big money for lighter sports rims.

looks like not much benefits to changing rims other than comestic appearance...(especially if we are not upsizing the rims)
Probably will just change my tyres then. Thanks for the inputs :)

if you want to change to lighter 15" rim same as stock size, it will looks goods plus better pickup and no speedo error right? Let us know what tyre you change later ok.

I have tried low profile tyres and personally don't like its less cushioned and rougher ride.
