Title: Nosiy Engine
Post by: hct on September 25, 2009, 09:08:18 AM
Hi all,

recently my car engine has been very noisy... (emitting loud squeeky kind of vibrating noise)

Has anyone encounter this before? or have any idea what is wrong? Only have it when the car is engage.. but not when i neutral gear.

Thanks.

Mechanic says only one belt can be seen for Latio. The one and only on the left side of engine. He also called it Fan Belt.
Mine 58kkm, says mine starting to see hairline crack on the belt internal groove. S$75 damage, labour inclusive because change during 60kkm servicing.

Funny thing is why only when engage gear than have squeaky sound. I'm facing this problem intermittently too. Especially after a long drive and when I slow down to park, I can hear the squeaky sound. Put to neutral, the sound is gone. My belt just change during 40K servicing, now only 47K.

Than could be different case liao, not fan belt issue, you might need to investigate it

I didn't.. TCM didn't mentioned about going back for them to re-tighten. Just state that belt change on the invoice.  Hmm.. Never mind, 50K coming soon, will highlight to them during servicing.
