Title: Sound heard when starting of engine

Actually it had been a while since my servicing at AS previously.

I always hear the 'Eee' sound whenever I start the engine. What cause that to happen? I remember I change something, dunno what belt as the AS guy told me it wear out alr. So, im jsut wondering what is it tho.

Going to Aust for training, so my car cannot be use until I get back. Just want to make sure everything is fine as my wife might be using.

Oh.. should have guess that. Just wondering that if the noise will go away after some period of time?

no, it get worse, and will torn and brake apart if you did not change it.

If I rem correctly, the last time I went to AS, they change that for me. Since then, there's always sound coming out. hmm

it's probably loose. Go back and ask them to tighten!

Bros,

That sound confirm belt la. I think that called V Belt.
Latio only have 1 belt only. It run many part of our car.
Ex: water pump, compressor, fan etc.
So don save on that.
If break half way. Not only bo aircon.
Ur engine may be overheated.
U can ask them to play with the tension. To tighten it.
Or change a new belt if u find sign of crack or wear and tear.

I hear the same sound when I stop and engage park gear.
Is it the same problem due to fan belt that you all are talking about?

Eh pardon my blurness but what does AS stand for? Authorise Service center? :confused1:

AS - AutoSaver.

I only heard my Fan Belt when i start my car engine.
