Title: ABS lighted up

Hi fellow Lations,

                      Today my ABS light suddenly stayed lighted after I went for a car wash, any Lations knows what happened. I dont think it's might have anything to do with the car wash, maybe coincident. Pls advice.

after car wash ur brakes still wet den u brake hard den ABS light on.

Or, the lady who dried your car was too hawt and she had D cups so your car steam and high, then need ABS to control!  :yehyeh: :yehyeh:

I think the male washers are from Sabah, so my Latio got no reason to react. Anyway, after the wash I did not even have chance to brake hard. If ABS is activated, will the light be deactivated after it "stand down". Mine is lighted all the way, could it be the ABS faulty?

Best is to send cr bk to Tan Chong to chk if it is under warranty.

Prob a  wire conection problem

erm..juz a question i wanna ask..., if i brake hard..and and abs activated..the light will also come out issit?
since day 1 till now i brake hard till the ABS activate still no light, any issue wit that?

 get your mechanic to check the speed sensor at your wheels. Unplug the connection n clean with contact cleaner. Maybe ur speed sensor dirty..

If not u can use Obd2 check the error code..another common problem is check ur ecu grounding wire maybe connection loose will affect the close loop signal so will show error for ABS..Just tighten the screw.. :)

Lighted ABS lighted up means ABS braking will not be activated when required, EBD (Electronic Brake Distribute) is still working, so not a issues for normal soft braking. :thumbsup:

ABS Light up, mostly cause by electrical problem, DIY: chk fuse, remove and put it back to reset (make sure that the engine is OFF).

After washing with strong spray could cause some electrical short in sensor, water is good conductor.
