everytime i try to start my car, it since like I can't turn to On - Acc -Start.
I have to try a few times then it allow me to turn, I did turn my steering while trying to start the engine. Am i do wrongly some where?

Make sure your key is well in the car, sometimes if you leave it too near the door, might not detect. If it still doesn't work, try changing the battery.

I just correct my car 3 days ago, don't think is due to battery, maybe I do not know how to operate it. ;D when trying to start, the i-key logo and the "red" car will blink....

if yr blinking i-key logo is in red, that means yr i-key wasnt detected so u cant even turn the ignition knob...
"red" car will always be blinking meaning yr car is in some kind of security mode...

Try not to put your Ikey and mobile phone together. Red Ikey blinking means Ikey not detected green Ikey blinking means Ikey battery weak. Red car blinking means immobiliser is working and don't forget to depress you ignition before turning it.

Thanks all for your feedback. I will try again later after my work.

I just change my battery last week due to my Ikey keep flashing but i do not not that is the symptom showing battery weak.
I also encounter 2 incident that i failed to unlock & start my car engine until i took out the key to unlock & manually start my car. But after sending to TCM to change batt the problem is solve.
But 1 suggestion is that u can change battery outside bcos it is much cheaper & saving time rather than sendin to TCM. A battery incl of GST cost u $10.70. Outside change maybe $5 or $6 only.

outside means where?? can i DIY myself? whats the battery size to buy?

can buy batt ( CR2025) at grocery shop, and replace by yourself
-
as mentioned in another thread, cost = S$1.20
-
Go to those Wu Jin Dian to buy the batt. Cheaper alot than TCM or watch shop.
I changed my key batt also detect as red light. Some more I can on my car before starting of engine. Until I put the key at the speedometer, green is visible to me.
Technology is like that, so, no complain. If it fail, it will fail. Ha. Just realised that my car is going to be 5 yr old. Haha :bleh:

Wah so cheap.. I bought CR2025 battery for $2.50 to DIY yesterday.. but no more green blinking

Just changed my battery today. I discover that there are different battery brand out there and it is better to get back Sony (same with the original one). Before that I bought a "camelion" battery, after changing, green I key keep flashing.
Yesterday went to TC, they check the battery voltage but found nothing wrong with its voltage but Green I key keep flashing. Changing to their battery then no problem. $10.70 for a tiny battery from TC is too ex. So decidede to get it from ABC shop and it cost only $2.

Just changed mine to a sony for $2.00 on Monday before I went to Malaysia. there is another battery about the same CR2032, don't get the wrong battery.

a bit confuse. so if i-key (green) keep flashing before starting the engine - normal?
if i-Key (green) keep flashing after start the engine - battery weak?
If i-key (red) keep flashing - cannot detect i-key

yo.. just bought a CR2025 battery and replaced it.. quite easy.
i measured the old battery and its 2.9v le.. it is still healthy as its a 3v battery..
new one is about 3.2V. but flashing light is off after battery replaced..
-
Hi,
Sometimes I do have that problem but the reason is because I place my ikey in the same pocket as my mobile phone. I think the signal from the mobile phone causes interference with the signal sent my our ikey. I make it a point to put the ikey in the pocket not containing my mobile phone and the problem was solved. :yehyeh:
Hope this helps.
