Title: After servicing , the car will feel different? 4AT PEOPLE COME IN ! (:
Post by: latioboy91 on December 01, 2009, 10:59:57 AM
Guys, for those of you driving 4AT latio.

I've been driving the sylphy for about 2 weeks and I know how the car feels, and the gear shifts and what not.

sent the car in to TCM for 30k servicing and for the Package A and one of the components is the Engine diagnostics tuning and retune back to factory stds. ( as wad i heard from mechanic)

So i let them go ahead with it.

Got the car back, and i felt super "DISCONNECTED from the car

the gear shifts felt wrong, and yes, even tho the smooth feeling from the EO is there, but, the gear shifts and everything al CANCELLED.

I think i have to retrain the ECU to my driving style.

Also, before servicing, my 100km/h rpm is at 2-2.2krpm
Now my 100km/h rpm is 2.5krpm. Its higher. Thus FC will be higher lo.

Never mind its a sylphy, but its the same engine as the latio 4AT.

Would like to seek some comments from those of you who feel the same way.

thankyou!

Well, they reset the ECU. I had experienced this twice when servicing at AS. Nothing to worry about, just retrain the ECU to adapt to your driving style. Normally about 3-4 days

Just completed my 80k servicing @ AS, but I got this problem after that; sometimes while waiting @ trafficlight (in D) engine is rev-ing up & down (900-1800rpm). car is like wanting to go forward while I'm still on brakes.

Any advice?  :glare:

Will go back AS to check, kinda worried, hope nothing major.

went back & they cleaned the throttle body & did some tuning on ECU.
But problem still around but reving lesser now.(700-1000)

They told me if still the same they will have to remove the throttle body & clean it.

So how about you? did u went back?

Nope. But it become more stable now. May I know which SC you went? Could it be their tunning device is having error? I done my servicing at TPY TC.

Latioboy91,

Is your Sylphy driving pattern back to normal too?
