Brake problem?

robtan99:

change to SS brake hose will get back the same feeling like new.

--- Quote from: lmhdex on March 31, 2010, 08:53:58 PM ---Hi

I have been driving my latio 4AT sports base for 4 months now.

Do not know if I'm over sensitive but I feel that my brakes are not very responsive.  Somehow I have to step harder on the brakes before the car comes to a complete stop.  When the car was new, I just need to step a little bit and the car will slow down already.

What gives?

Hi What is SS brake hose?  You changed it at TCM?  Is it covered by warranty?

Thanks

Change outside.  Price range from $120 - 250 depending on brands.

Stock brake hose using rubber type...

I agree with what you said. The brake doesn't feel as 'jiak' anymore. I experienced the same with my previous car also.

Changed front 2 brake pads doesn't help.  Our rear is drum brake, what can we do?

There must be a cause for it. TCM also didnt manage to advise yet.

I just felt that it doesn't feel as "jiak" as in the first couple of months. Last week, I jam braked couple of times because somehow felt that the pressure I used to apply on the brakes to slow down the car suddenly had to be increased.

I called my SA and he said may be due to wet weather recently, so brake pads may be wet or something.
