Significant power loss when air con on

Need some advice from bro/sis

discover recently sever power loss when air con is on this resulted super high fc and sluggish pick up

checked tyre pressure and car just 5k from last servicing

when i off the air con the ride and power feels normal as before

is this a sign aircon failing?

It is normal for cars of the Latio's capacity (1500cc) to feel a loss of power, particularly when accelerating when the air con compressor kicks in.

But if you were to drive a larger capacity car like the 2000cc Nissan Teana, you woudl not feel such an effect as the engine has sufficient power.

I feel the same thing too.. but i'm not sure what you mean by extreme lah.. I suspect the bearing in the a/c compressors are rusting.. that's why when the electromech clutch cuts in u feel the load on the engine.

Btw, i asked TCM if we can grease the bearings but they claim it's sealed...
