exhaust problem
« on: May 28, 2010, 12:08:42 AM »
anyone facing the same prob as me. my exhaust recently seem to be vibrating badly. when idling in a traffic light with d on the gear there will be a loud sound like those rex idling. and the whole car seem to vibrate more compared to last time. moving off from a stop will also experience the whole car vibrating and the turbo sound. only when it reach high speed then it become normal again. i am finding ways to stop it but cant seem to fix it. any pros here mind to share what prob is it?

just to add on, tried my car this morning and found the source indeed come from the exhaust area. In the morning when i start the car and idling, the exhaust area will have a screeching sound on and off. sometimes loud and sometimes soft. Is it normal? it iI am worried about the expensive repair. :confused1:

since you had hit a tyre stop, do take a look at the exhaust line to see if any joint is out of alignment
best to do it with the engine running - then you can hear the exhaust better - just  make sure that the car is securely parked before doing so
Be safe. Go with the flo.
