Power outlet. SOS!
« on: October 29, 2010, 01:10:01 PM »
Afternoon all...

I bought a portable vacuum cleaner yesterday and after insertin to the power outlet, there's a little spark. Did I blow the fuse? How much is it to repair it?

do you still get power from the power point? try with other device eg GPS charger..

If no power then can check for the fuse in engine bay. Should be a spare fuse there.

Have a look at the power socket to check whether any 'metal' object trapped within that possibly caused a short-circuit, that may blow out your fuse if so.

fuse blow just change yourself...
buy from most malaysia supermarket...
u can read where is the ciggy plug fuse on the pull out panel itself...
if you go to your frequent workshop to change... most likely it will be free...
this is really very cheap stuff...

I faced the same problem too, blew the fuse. Just replaced it yourself, it is very easy, plug and play type. Should be a red fuze (mini blade fuze) 15A.

Cost wise its ard 2bucks. Can get it at sim lim tower those elect shops.
