INCREDIBLE FUEL STILL DROP EVEN THOU DIDN'T DRIVE
MadMatty:
I was on medical leave for 2 weeks and the day before i went on medical leave I had top up my car to full. Amazingly even though I did not even drive the car for nearly a week, I only went down to warm up and keep the battery active by running for maximum 5 minutes each day. My fuel gauge indicate that the petrol has already dropped down to nearly the half way point between the full and 3/4 mark. Now that I am back driving the car, my FC already at 1/2 tank even thou my mileage travel was less then 150Km. I know that Latio FC is notorious but this really is ridiculous.

Most probably, its the fuel sensor problem. Mine has its mind on its own, after refilling it appear full. Come, next morning, the fuel indicator appear at 1/2 mark even though I had travelled only 5km.
CustomGolf:
Drive till the orange light comes on then go refill and see how much is being put into the tank to know how mucch is used, I get to fill only about 35 litres when my orange indicator comes on. Another possibility is evaporation, especially when parked in open car park.
MadMatty:
Well my average is also the same, light comes up once fuel level hits below 35 ltr, this time I only managed to clock 340km and the fuel indicator light came up. Went to top up and true enough I pump in about 36 ltr there after.
I was hoping this would be a one off occurrence perhaps due to evaporation of fuel but that cannot really explain the vast difference. Further more my car park is a multi storey one so it is shaded from the direct heat of the sun. So after my last top top the same thing is happening again. Already at the 1/2 way mark even though mileage showed only 150km traveled. :confused1:
I intend to bring in the car to TCM next week and ask them what the hell is actually wrong. A car doesn't just consumed so much overnight. Before I could still hit average 220km before hitting the half way point.
I know that Nissan vehicles are not exactly known to be economical but this is really stretching the fact a bit too far.

Err isn't it common knowledge gasoline is highly evaporative ?
you can try filling gasoline in a 1.5litre coca cola bottle full and close it tight,
then leave it in a dark cool place, for 2weeks. 2 weeks later 1.5litre become 1litre.
no joke man . :(
