INCREDIBLE FUEL STILL DROP EVEN THOU DIDN'T DRIVE
CustomGolf:
Don't jump, sometimes it's the way you refill your tankful. When I top up my petrol on my own, I lock the pump at the first stop so that the flow into the tank is slower. you'll normally put a little more into the tank. Estimate your FC only after a few tankful and not based on 1. Highly inaccurate. I'm getting an average of 12.7 throughtout my last 5 years of ownership. Quite a bit of short trips.

you can try filling gasoline in a 1.5litre coca cola bottle full and close it tight,
then leave it in a dark cool place, for 2weeks. 2 weeks later 1.5litre become 1litre.
no joke man . :(

well i did take this in but honestly to lose at 5 to 6 liters off due to evaporation is just a little too far fetch for anyone to accept...as I had elaborated earlier, i have already refilled the tank since the last and was hoping it was a one off occurrence. But doesn't seems to be the case cos by the time my fuel indicator hit the 3/4 mark, the mileage only read 80km traveled. Half way mark only read 150km.
Since day one when I got this car, my mileage has never been on the high side, the most 400km before light up indicator with about 220km at the half way mark. But to drop so suddenly, something is not right. My intention is to go for one more round of monitoring before making my assessment and bringing it in to TCM to check.

Well I have been using this car for the last 3 years and it has been returning the same set of figures. 400Km give and take 10km the fuel indicator will come on and then I will drive it for another 20km or so before topping up. Each time I top up its about 37 to 38 liters. So I reckon that its about 35 liters or rather the fuel light up indicator is made to light up after 35 liters used. Based on this, my FC is only about 11.5km/liter average.

No harm sending to TCM to check. Don't expect much from them, my indicator came on around 420km most of the time. I'm driving 4AT 16"rim 205/55/16 tyres. The same for the last 5 years and nothing much have changed over the FC, running on 10W-30 engine oil.
d.titan:
my FC is constant at 350km for $50, abt 23l (caltax 98)
on 16" , using 10/40 EO (amsoil)
hope this info helps
