Need Help on a 2nd Hand Latio Premium
Raybies:
Hi Guys,
I just bought a 2nd hand latio but having slight problem with the car. Problem is when i accelerate can hear metal clanking sound in the engine bay so i brought it to a workshop. According to the technician, he said that the timing chain is stretched that is why hitting and creating the sound. Will this happen as our engine is running on timing chain?
Any folks encountered this before?
Jazz:
Did the mechanic re-tension the timing chain for you ? Else change a new one.
Raybies:
Hi,
Nope I went to autoaid and according to them timing chain needs no replacement they mentioned most likely due to pinging from the engine. My question is did anyone really changed their latio timing chain?
dsrio:
never changed timing chain b4, thought timing chain no need change?

Hello, what's the mileage like? The last time it happened to my Latio, it was the CVT gearbox needing overhaul @ 220,000KM.
