Rebate in terms of Points or Unidollar (is Points), is not worth it.
Rebate from POSB EverydayCard is worthwhile, min 1% right?

The first tank i pumped using friend's HSBC card, get 6% discount + 5% std discnt, total 11%.

I just got my Caltex Card few min ago, can start enjoying 15% already. But daily limit is $120, mthly limit is $350. For me, I will mostly pump in Msia coz i go back every 2weeks.

15% is alot. Pumped $100 of fuel but paid $85 paid & it will be deducted from my salary every month.

Udrive is actually the citibank mobil easipay card. It is 15% discount, it also comes with smiles points which can be converted to linkpoints, 1 smile points is equal to 3 link points if I am not wrong.
I apply thru the NTUC website, must be a union member to qualify.

Oh.
Really so good? Any quota for that UDrive?

I will try to apply thru NTUC website later.

Is this UDrive allow us to pump any type of petrols, not to specific petrol only? E.g. my Caltax Starcard is for us to pump Caltex petrol !

hmm, so about the same la.. any idea how UOB rebates us for the fuel?

UOB credit card only rebate for SHELL petrol.  Classic + Gold Smart$ Cards (cards with the micro chip) will get 3% "Smart$" rebate.  For Platinium & Signature Card will get 5% "Smart$" rebate.

UOB's Smart$ works the same way as the POSB Everyday Card...  Spend, then the 'rebate' will be stored in the card, can only redeem on your next purchase.  You can choose to store up all the rebates then redeem.

UOB: SHELL (3% or 5% stored rebate on amount, redeem on next pump or making other purchase)
POSB: SPC (5% stored rebate on amount of petrol pumped ~ abt 4+%, redeem on next pump or making other purchase)
DBS: SPC (3% immediate cash discount)
     : ESSO/MOBIL (5% immediate cash discount)
OCBC: Caltex (5% immediate cash discount)
Citibank: ALL (5% rebate on a quaterly basis, minimium of $50 in rebate before cheque is being issued)
HSBC: Caltex 5% (immediate cash discount)

Udrive is only for Esso/Mobil... its a petrol card for these 2 companies.  Since its a petrol charge card, so you wont pay on the spot but will receive bill every month... the 15% discount for using Udrive Card is done on a monthly basis reflecting on the bill.

If you are a NTUC Union member then good for you loh... but if you are not a Union member then no point to go join union just for this card... cause the union fee is ~$100 a year...  :devil2:

thanks Garf83 for the detailed explanation.. hmm.. then i guess i just stick to Shell & use UOB plat card to pay la..
