UOB credit card only rebate for SHELL petrol.  Classic + Gold Smart$ Cards (cards with the micro chip) will get 3% "Smart$" rebate.  For Platinium & Signature Card will get 5% "Smart$" rebate.

UOB's Smart$ works the same way as the POSB Everyday Card...  Spend, then the 'rebate' will be stored in the card, can only redeem on your next purchase.  You can choose to store up all the rebates then redeem.

UOB: SHELL (3% or 5% stored rebate on amount, redeem on next pump or making other purchase)
POSB: SPC (5% stored rebate on amount of petrol pumped ~ abt 4+%, redeem on next pump or making other purchase)
DBS: SPC (3% immediate cash discount)
     : ESSO/MOBIL (5% immediate cash discount)
OCBC: Caltex (5% immediate cash discount)
Citibank: ALL (5% rebate on a quaterly basis, minimium of $50 in rebate before cheque is being issued)
HSBC: Caltex 5% (immediate cash discount)

Hey guys,

great that all of you are keepin this going. With prices increasing, we really muz make more effort to get discount.
Seems like the Udrive card is giving the most discount so far. Any bros and sis using it at the moment? Any Cons that go with the Pros of using the card?

Yes... as i've mentioned earlier... if you are not an existing NTUC Union Member... no point rushing to join the Union just for the Udrive Card.  Union fees is about ~$100/yr...  ::)

UPDATECaltex petrol, diesel prices up
Other brands likely to follow suit soon.
By Christopher Tan, Senior Correspondent
AMERICAN oil company Chevron raised pump prices of its Caltex petrol and diesel by five cents a litre on Monday - the sixth increase since July and the second in about a fortnight.

The others - Shell, ExxonMobil and Singapore Petroleum - are likely to do likewise in the coming days.

Chevron's move brings its pump prices to record levels.

Before discount, the price of Caltex Silver 95 is now $1.886 a litre, Caltex Gold 98 $1.96 a litre, Caltex Platinum $2.126 a litre and diesel $1.403 a litre.

Its a new card being issued by MayBank Singapore.

For the past 5 transactions I've charged to the Maybank card during Oct 07, I am getting an average conversion rate ranging from 2.285 - 2.305.

I leave you to do the maths whether that rate is good or not.

Somemore, that is excluding the 5% rebates which you can earn from merchants like Caltex MY, Shell MY, Esso MY, Petronas, Carrefour MY, Giant MY, Tesco MY.

If I am not wrong, there are also "Treatz points" to be earned by charging to that card. Not to sure how that works though.

Oh. Normal Maybank card (SG) credit card can't enjoy that %?
How is that % given to us? Mthly basis from the mthly stmt when we charge the bill to the CC?
