Think the $500 rebate is from your SE as a "special discount'. Not uncommon to get some discount from SE.  Seems like the norm is $500 discount from the SE unless you ask for alot more freebies then the SE may offer you <$500 special discount.  (When I first shop around for the car, I checked with different SE, one gave more freebies plus $300 special discount and the other one gives $500 rebate plus less freebies.  It is a zero sum game.  Not sure if TCM had built in this $500 special discount thingy to make customers feel good.  Naturally that ppl will feel good if they get fee stuff.  Chinese saying "sheep fur comes from sheep body".  That is, we customers are giving freebies to ourselves.  Haha) The $500 got nothing to do with the bodykit.  If you opt out of the kit, you should get another $500 rebate from TCM (not SE).  This is printed on the flyer.

Haiz .... my DS3 bodykit cost me $1000.  :(

Hi Jazz, when did you book your car?

The free DS3 bodykit promotion for Latio started some time end of 2007 till now.  People who booked their cars before this free promotion period pay more than $500 because TCM got to make a profit ma.  Just an analogy, if their cost is about $500, hence the rebate for opting out is $500.  If you buy from them, they have to add in profit margin.  Hence, got to pay >$500 lor.

Think free DS3 bodykit promotion now is only for Latio Sedan not the Sport model...
Normal is getting dressed in clothes that you buy for work and driving through traffic in a car that you are still paying for, in order to get to the job you need to pay for the clothes and the car and the house you leave vacant all day so you can afford to live in it.

Hi BlackLatio, in that case, let say if (...if only hor) you tell your SE that you don't want the BK, will she give you more cash discount since it is from her?  If the answer is still "No", this means she smoke lor.

I booked my car just before Christmas 2007, and get my car on 5th Jan'2008, it a ex-stock.

I trade in my trip to Japan or Korea (can't remember) for $1500 rebate. Use $1000 for DS3 bodykit and $500 for upgrade of rims and leather seats. Mine is Sedan basic.  :(

I remembered in Dec 2007, I was at IMM and Nissan had its roadshow there.  The SE told me that Latio comes with free DS3 plus Japan trip at the Road Show Special Promotion.  I also asked him about opting out of the Japan trip and think he also said the rebate was $1500. That was when my OC sat in a Latio and said "Can consider leh".  But I didn't book till early Feb 2008 because the previous car loan lock-in period not over yet then.

To be frank, I have no intention of getting a Latio in the first place, was at Ubi showroom looking for Vios, it was my friend that really keen in buying a ride, so we move to Nissan and he hooked to the Latio, the SE mentioned if we both buy together considered bulk purchase, additional $500 discount, so we just sign the paper without even test drive !!

Me also din like the boxy look when it was first launched.  After some time with so many of them on the road, had accepted the look (as it is a matter of preference).  To me, the first attraction is the spaciousness as my children are growing up and they find the previous car's back seat legroom squeezy.

When I first look, sport version attracted me, but no boot space. But before that, I already read alot of good reviews about Latio and drivers commented about it, so I have trust it without test drive.  :D

why standard and not premium models?

BTW, checked with BT branch, if get car manufacturing in last year DEC, have 1k discount but limited based on the color left over. so is about 55K.

If want the color that was no stock made in Dec, then has to top up.
