Car Theft in West Malaysia
« on: August 19, 2008, 10:06:10 PM »
Hi,

I am planning a road trip to KL next week, stopping by a few places along the way. I checked my insurance coverage under AIG ($1500 one-first year) and it is stated that the car is insured whilst driving in W.Malaysia. But what about if the car is stolen there? Anyone knows if theft of car is covered?

Yours is comprehensive insurance.

Of course theft is covered.

pay the market value ( paper+body)?
if like that, you still lose a lot during 1st year.

You are mistaken.

Pizzaboy meant that you will get a brand new replacement Latio if your Latio is  total loss during first year.

Total loss term is applicable for accident.  For loss as a result of theft, not very sure whether they give you a brand new replacement.
