It means your tyre was manufactured on the 42nd week of 2007.

I suppose you bought YOM2007 Latio?

Are you refering to the stain around the air valve on the rims?

That is brake dust but I am surprised how so much brake dust could accumulate on a brand new car on collection day.

Very likely your car had a high delivery mileage and the brake dust was not cleaned off.

What was your car's mileage upon delivery to you?

Clarence, is that brake dust? My mileage upon collected from TCM Ubi is 63KM. Is on the high side, my SE said they have to drive my car from Lok Yang warehouse to Ubi showroom, they don't use truck to carry anymore.  :out:  63KM can form brake dust on air valve meh? Do you think is tires air leakage?

Looks like brake dust to me.

Tyre air leakage will not cause such stain.

It's possible to get massive brake dust if one does spirited driving and frequent hard braking, which is how those Formula 1 wanabe drivers will likely drive your Latio.

Probably just the 2 front wheels got this stain?

Rear drum brakes emit very minimal brake dust.

Just did a check, both right wheels (front & rear) got this stain.

What I can think of ios that Tan Chong did not clean our rims thoroughly before delievry of car.

Anyway, mine was just as bad, the dashboard had a layer of dust on it when I collect my car.
