Strange, seems like the primer paints/sealants not painted/overcoat with normal top-coat grey paints..

Bro, is ur car new/or 2nd hand 1? Normally when we check for "accident-free" 2ndhand cars, this is 1 of the area we will check, to make sure all the joints/connection area is as original, no additional touch-up done..

If urs is new, since day 1 u notice this? Or is it TC does a touch-up without ur knowledge on 1 of ur service?
Simple...

Just called my SE, he said if yours is "accident-free" car, u will have this sealants. If it is "accident" car, u will NOT have this sealants as this is not available in Singapore. How true it is? I'm worried now  :weep:

I got mine yesterday...  Finally :yehyeh: :yehyeh: :yehyeh:

Did you check with your SE see what the explanation is? My worry is like what lyh1280 said, something is wrong that's why they touch-up for us. And further more, brand new car shouldn't be "something wrong".

all cars have this. its to prevent water or air leak between overlapping panels. can be found in all panel joints like wheel arcs, floorpan, boot etc. not feasible to spray paint or touch up thus u see this "raw".

nothing to worry about. if u can't see this, then u should be worried  ;D

Correct, all car shd hv this "connected/mended" joints, eg. at this car boot spare tyre area. But tink they suppose to overpaint it with the standard grey colours after sealing the joints.. if really condition as per from factory side/your picture, it seems "ugly" to leave it like tt, cannot be leh that Nissan so no standard on this simple issue.. shd hv overpaint it nicely.. :)

Btw, din c this in my Latio Sports year 07/2005 version..

Simple...

lyh1280, thx for the input, but u have confused me. "to make sure all the joints/connection area is as original, no additional touch-up done.."  SO, all brand new car should have this touch-up joints or only accident car? U mean u didn't see this in your Latio? Why some ppl have and some ppl don't?  :confused1:

Bro,

Sorry for confusing u..  if there is such a joint/connection area, they must hv mended/sealed it up at factory side, then overpaint with nicely original paints. I am wondering if they actually add/seal somemore when the car is here.. cos Nissan Japan won't leave it like tt i tink (as per ur picture), i tink no standard leh.. prob u don hv to worry since some other members here has the same thing.. at least confirm ur car not accident car la..

Btw, I hv just re-checked again my boot/spare tyre area for Sports, i din c any joints/sealants leh.. the curve inside is so smooth, like they only bended/stamped deep in the tyre area, mayb there is joint further up at the level area but i coudnt c cos cover by the plastic parts already.. mayb l take some picture n let u all c..

Simple...
