Do you use the "Over Drive" often?

Hi, Just got my ride yesterday and was reading thru the manual on the Over Dirve - "OD". The SE advised me to turn off the OD to save on fuel, however the Latio is programmed to reset to ON everytime i start the engine. Do you off the OD everytime you drive? or should just leave it as ON.
thanks.

Correct me if I am wrong guys .. overdrive force the car to be on 3rd gear. Technically, that will increase RPM when driving above 80 kmh leading to higher FC.

You should leave the "OD' as default.
Normally i turn OD off when travelling in NSH for speeding up and overtaking. A faster way to get power but also burn more fuel.
CustomGolf:
You sure about default OD on everytime you start your ride, mine is off everytime I start it but I have never tried to leave it on when I park my ride in the night so I don't know if it will stay on if I leave it on when I kill the engine at night.
(Think I got Mixed up,the light is off everytime I start the engine which means the OD is on.)
Jazz:
Funny, cannot be default off and it not programmed to, it just a button.
