Are u having the same problem as mine?
« on: November 16, 2008, 10:01:42 AM »
Hi my CVT sedan car is about 1 year old and starts to giving problem as below, anyone having the same problem?  Can share with us on the solution before we go down to Tan Chong again :

1) Double Vision on behind car when viewing thru the rear mirror at night and it really makes me drive with worried and unsecure.   Went down to Tan Chong before, they mentioned is because we paste the sun shade that causing this double vision problem.  Is this true?

2) The leather seat from behind passeger starts to give those leather freaking sound, was told to apply the leather condition and the problem will be settled.    Not true leh, we tried to apply every 2 weeks, and the sound still there and sometimes very irrating when u sit behind and it really makes the whole journey uncomfortable.  The sound become more louder when u drive on carpark with unbalance road.  sigh....anyone has this problem?

3) Few days ago, just noticed that the driver seat side has some vibrating noise and was trying to find out where is the noise, so when i pull tight the driver seat door, the sound gone, so i believe is the door giving problem.....

So far these are the problems that i am facing so far, the most headache is the leather seat noise, really wanted to get it done soon....please help......

1) Double vision is normal if you installed window tinting but the double vision can vary, depending on how well your window tinting was installed. If there's too big a gap between the rear defroster horizontal lines and window tinting, the double vision will be more obvious. If your car is still under warranty, can get Tan Chong to re do your rear window tinting.

2) I am using Autogym leather conditioner and do not have this squeaking sound. You can trry it.

3) Can get Tan Chong to rectify this problem for free (under warranty).

solve point 1 by changing solar film. some brands are the cause of double vision.

you cant really solve point 2 except deal with it, or use a hell lot of leather conditioner.

point 3 is basically the seatbelt assembly. common among all cars, agent should be able to settle it for you.

Item 2) Initially i also had the squeeky sound.. damn irritating.. went i went to do CSII follow up treatment, i told the guy.. he applied something for me and it's gone.. the sound was coming from the centre armrest.. (if you have the rear centre arm rest, you can try to lower it for the day and drive.. see if the sound is gone

Dear Cindy, my car used to have this squeaking sound from the rear leather seat like what you have discussed. Later I realised it was because the seat was no longer "locked" in position already (The seat was not attached properly to frame below the seat if you can lift up the rear seat cover with ease) and it caused the seat movable parts to rub against each other easily and produce the squeaking sound. In fact, in the end, it was bro Vypez who kindly helped me to fix the seat back into the locked position and the sound was gone.

I do not know if your problem is the same as mine. You may check it up. All the best.
