HTFreak, eh i not sure about price increase of 1k.. eh the rebate they give me is set at S$4.5k

4.5k rebate means it is the increased price already.  Most of us who booked early had our rebate set at 3k nia.

Even if your COE is secured in the next bidding ending 17 Dec, you will still get your car before New Year, as Tan Chong will want to register as many cars as possible before year end to boost their numbers.

Yup tat's might be true, however if they dont get it for those who booked the ex stock. Then soon we'll see low prices again to attract ppl to book and lower prices and then asking them to top up later on/  :confused1:

Correct mine also $3K rebate...which means my SE some how lied to me...she said price will increase by $3K once exstock depletes and must wait for new shipment but seems tat they already increase the price before the exstock depletes.

No, I'm referring to the COE rebate level.  For example yours is set at 4500 which means if the COE dropped below this amount, TC will give you a refund.  For those folks that got the $2 COE, their rebate level was set at only at 6k which meant that most of them got $5998 back.  TC probably earned big that round.

true that tan chong earned big that round...

but in all fairness there are also times where they had to bid over and above their budgetted amount to secure COE for the bookings...

i guess in business that's the way it is...you gain some you lose some..

Well at least that PARF certificate bullshit system has finally ended.  It was yet another income stream for all these agents who claim to be doing the best for you.

These Tan Chong SE are all liars.

When I was looking at pre facelift YOM 2007 Latio, I was told that once YOM2007 stocks are sold out, new facelift Latio would cost at least $10K more.

A month after YOM2007 stocks were sold out, facelift Latio was sellling at just $56K, or $3K above pre facelift YOM2007 Latio even though COE remained constant.

Kinda lahz... sometime buy car you cant listen too much to the SE about 'future stock' price, nevertheless they are still SALE PEOPLE... out to clinch deal.. always buy a car base on current spec and current ability / liabilities.. we cant really much compare with Future which is a ???...

Actually, i really sympathize with u and can understand why you are so upset. But why did u go back to them and buy a second car from them??

I've realised buying a car in Singapore is different from buying a car in other countries. Here, car prices are like the stock market coz it fluctuates up and down after every COE bidding... Almost impossible to buy at lowest price. If anyone can predict the prices, we dun need to work for a living liao.  ;D

So just LL, lor... Buy a car when u really need it and you think the price is acceptable. As they say, willing buyer, willing seller... Good luck!
