LED status of Air Con
« on: December 30, 2008, 10:26:23 PM »
Hmm just need to check with u guys

for your air con display>>
When we first start the air con (manual mode: 26 degree Celsius), the ionizer's status displayed is "Clean
BUt after a while does the status CHANGE???
(*I vaguely remember that the ionizer status will change one leh.. from Clean to Ion or something rite??)

currently, for my very clean latio, at manual mode: 26 degree Celsius, 1 fan speed at night>> when i drive from Tampines to Aljunied, my ionizer status is always are "clean" status + i am sweating inside leh. I remember a few months ago, the ionizer status will change from clean to 'XXXX' and at 26 degree, i still feel VERY COLD at night leh!!!

is there something wrong with my aircon/ionizer or its just the weather??

I guess maybe the digital aircon ******** up. Send in to TC and they will reset your aircon, after tt quite cold even at 26 degrees manual. Before that i set to 23 also not cold, only cool wind coming out of the vent.

When the AC is clean initially, the air is cool but once switch to ion, it became hotter, this is for my car.

From my past experience driving my Latio for 1 year, it only switch from clean to ion mode, never notice it toggle before, maybe mine always travel short distance.

Yep, like bro midnight says, go for a checkup, but TCM might be busy these few days.

Glad your car is repaired, so insurance all settled and claim from taxi ? Or is your AC problem happen after your collison ?

i remember reading in our car manual that the a/c will switch between "Clean" & "Ion" modes about every 20mins. If your's doesn't switch it could mean something's wrong. Better get TCM to check it out.

So the AC mode really can toggle between clean and ion mode every 20 mins ? Next time take note. Thanks.

So if this problem happened after the accident, just claim or see whether TCM can fix for free if the insurance still unsettle.

This should not be the case.

Mine is cool in both modes.

But it could be due to the younger age of my car compared to yours.

You may want to send your car in to Tan Chong for a check.
