There is no best time to sign up NPMP.
Once you signed, it is 4 servicings (last abt 2 years assuming half year service once) which u paid upfront. So I will pick a time to sign up which in the end before i sell or scrap my car, i would have utilised fully all the 4 servicings.

Also make sure that you would have changed (FOC under NPMP) the expensive parts which are failing or dued for replacement during the 2 years or 4 servicings.

As for NPMP,

Is it something like 4 servicing or 2 years depending on which come 1st ?
Or you can decide to service every 10K kilometers ?

Can I confirm that there's no hidden charges once you sign up, that means there's no extra charges for labours and parts that are replaced ?

Thanks

NPMP covers 4 servicings = 40,000km (4 x 10,000km).
I am assuming i cover 10,000 every 6 mths.
So total 4 servicings in a year...

I think for NPMP, not all parts are covered.
NPMP is NOT a comprehensive maintenance package.
For this, i myself also haven sort it out. But i think Nissan website got some info on it.

Can refer to following site for more info:

Brochure links (provide details on type of servicing to be carried out at each 10k interval):

Sign up NPMP, did full servicing, and change 4 tyre.

Surprising - TCM carried Falken ZE912 tyre at $80 per piece (185/65R15)

After servicing and change of tyre

I observed the following :

a) Steering wheel feels extremely light as compare with before servicing - maybe something to do with belting or hydrauli ??

b) Less noise while driving - got something to do with the tyre

b) Engine less noisy and more power when ram accelerator. However, pick up from stop position become slower, before serving and change of tyre, my latio can easily accelerate from stop @ 1800rpm. Now seems to have to push slightly beyond 2K RMP before it really starts to roll.

a) Steering feels lighter is likely due to new tyres.

c) Pick up slower? Did you check the tyre pressure?

Front = 240
Back = 220

Pressure same for old and new tyre

At what speed you encountered the light steering feels?

From stationary to motion.
At any speed it feels lighter than before.

It is obvious when manuipulating in MSCP.

The worst is the pick up speed, deteroriate after servicing, now has to step harder on the accelerator from stationary before the wheel starts rolling. Before servicing, light steping (RPM between 1600 to 1800, car can pick up speed easily at stationary).

Any advise, is it because of the new tyre ? Or becos of the fastflo engine oil ?

Thanks

IMHO,
1. Your new tires has less rolling resistance, thus easier to steer.
2. Old tires rubber has hardened & will be noisy. Almost all new tires rubber are quiet initially.  You'll feel big difference in the noise level.
3. New engine oil could be thicker, thus pick up slightly sluggish as compared before.

If the new engine oil is of the same viscosity, how could it be thicker?

I believe the other of your queries have been answered by the others.

I'm addressing only the 'light steering' issue. For this, check your tyre pressure. TCM tend to over-pump the recommended tyre pressure. Over-inflated tyres will make steering feels light due to the less contact to the ground.

Front : 230kpa
Rear : 210kpa

Yo guys

Back to msia for cny.
I have no complaint abt TCM's Fasflo liao, in msia for 1wk+, my FC achieve 13km/L, siok.

When back to SG, FC is worsen, 10km/L to 11km/L, i believe is due to short distance and lots of traffic light (stop & move & stop too frequently)

Gong Xi Fa Cai & Happy New Year ..

HUAT AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

hi hammer

i believe the most 'obvious' benefit if u compare with npmp or non-npmp, u can see there "labor charges".....
the labor charges may cost us a bomb.... so, npmp is the best.

i hv no complaint abt NPMP liao...
fasflo EO is not a problem now... my FC is normal.....

You just got your new ride, so maybe you have to wait till 2 yrs later assuming your yearly mileage is 20K.
