You can use the manual key to lock, unlock the car and start the engine, and save $290.  ;D

hi clarence

that is not what i want to do.

Oic, then $290+ is cheap lar, better go buy quickly. If your gf change her mind and want spare Latio, then you are in big trouble.  :D

It is not advisable to go for just the i-key without the spare manual key embedded in the i-key.

If the i-key battery runs flat when your girlfriend wants to unlock the car, there is no spare manual key to unlock and start the car.

Alternatively, she can take 2 "keys" with her - the i-key and spare manual key, but it may be a little bulky to carry 2 "keys".

Yes, what I meant was that it is inconvenient to have a separate spare key and i-key.

It is more convenient to get the i-key with integrated spare key.

think in view of the tough times ahead...better to ask ur gf to use the spare key provided at the time of purchase...or u let her use the ikey and u use the spare key.....think abt it...when u sell ur car...u will lugi....it wun add much to the value of the car....

It's your choice whether to spend the $290 or just live with the inconvenience.
Actually my intention was to get a spare manual key, but think was quoted abt $160 (manual)  vs $201 (ikey), so I just take the ikey.
