ERP

Hello All,

My cashcard was in the IU when I passed through the gantry at PIE yesterday morning
but the red light keep flashing and a long beep sound.

Call LTA up and they mentioned that there is no cashcard in my IU and a summon will be served within this week  :crycry:

I had taken out the cashcard and re-insert into IU and the green light is on. I am not sure if its due to the cashcard or and IU but this morning, they work fine :confused1:

So is there anyway for me to appeal?

Thanks

The problem with my IU unit is that it takes a hell long of time for the car park sensor in most shopping centres to detect...and most time cars behind gets impatient and start horny. :crying:

i think some solar film got tendency of blocking the signal. that;s why you notice some brand they had a cut out at the erp unit area.

Solar Film does block signal from your IU, think V-cool cuts a hole at the IU Area. Other thing is that I think the signal strength of the ERP unit at car park exit can be adjusted so that if there are a few lanes the signal don't cross over to the next lane. In most cases, I've experience is to move closer to the ERP unit at the car park and it helps. Sometimes very close to the barrier.

this is the third ride i'm driving and seriously i have never experience any problem nor any difficulties of such.

i have only experience twice the IU did not beep when i pass thru erp gantry and lta only sent me letter to go for iu unit inspection which shows no problem. no requirement to pay the erp amount too.

Finally, I received the letter today and wrote in through LTA webpage to appeal.
Pray hard ,they will accept my appeal and waive the $10 adminstrative charges.
Anyone has experience on the intermittent contact of the blue colour type cash card?
Thanks

I encountered same problem with the blue butterfly series cash card. Wrote in and pay only the ERP charge. I was told the cash card is non heat resistance and should not be under the sun for extended period. However, I have no such problem with my old card which expired in Dec.

I see it as a cash card problem rather than the ERP IU unit.

Yup, this was reported in the newspapers - some of the blue butterfly series of cashcards got problems. If your cashcard is giving u problems, best if u get a new one...

Hello Zippy,

Maybe it free. I have changed my 2nd Gen EZlink card, so inorder for us to use in our IU, we need to install 2nd Gen IU too, most probably in Feb IIRC which I have read the news.  ;)
