Service by date or mileage ??
« on: February 18, 2009, 01:18:06 PM »
Hey guys, i'm due for my 20k servicing by end of Mar 09 but my mileage quite low cos i only clock abt 1000km per mth.
By end Mar 09 my mileage shld be only around 16k so shld i go for servicing end Mar or shld i wait till 20k which wont
take place until July 09.

If i were to wait till July for the 20k servicing, it will be at least 10mths after my last servicing at 10k..is it harmful to my
car if service interval is too long apart ?

I have been servicing my car based on mileage and so far no issue.  Maybe I am lucky. The longest interval betw servicing for me is 10 mths.  I think as long as car not park under hot sun/ or driven in adverse conditions, the EO will not degenerate due to passing of time.  Servicing based on mileage also easier for me to track what servicing I need to do.  My 2 cts worth.

no need to go on time.  You can wait for 1 or 2 mths.  no problem
