A/C not cold at 24 degree
« on: March 02, 2009, 05:00:11 PM »
Just wondering if anyone have similiar problems with the F/L. Prevously my temp settings were at 24 and it was cold air. Nowadays even at night, 24 it will blow out warm air. Have to set to 22 in order to achieve cold air. Is that a sign that my A/C is dying.... :(

I experience it b4. Send to TC to reset your aircon, it works for me.

Our aircon is digital, so i guess need to reset it periodically? Like the way we reset our PDA which hangs occasionally  :confused1:

It is not the sensor playing trick....it is the function of the sensor.....our car is JDI cars hence comes with a heater function for winter.....when you set a temperature lower than outside, it will blow cold air and when you set the temp higher than outside...it will become a heater and blowing hot air....so on cold days....set your temperature setting lower so that it will not be higher than outside temp...... :D

I did realised that whenever the difference between amb and preset temp is less than 2 degrees, the a/c would blow out warm air. However if the difference is more than 2 degrees is fine.

For example, recently outside temp is ard 25 and set temp is 24 I'm getting wram air. Worst of all recently even if the difference is more than 2 degrees, at my pevious preset of 24 I'm still getting warm air. :glare:

Just did some trials and realised the problem with A/C only happens when using the climate control but when using the fan directly at 24 it still blows out cold air. Maybe that is also the reason why my SE told me to stay away from using the climate control. Anyone using the climate control and did not encounter the problem?

I think he is referring to the auto button in the air-con control.

Side track a little:

I was driving with the windows down and aircon ON for a while. After that i wind up the window and white 'smoke' come out of the air vent, after a short while it stops. Anyone can describe this phenomenon?

Indeed it is....when you use the AUTO button on the climate control....the sensor in the
A/C will base on the temp u set against the temp outside & temp inside the car to decide the fan speed and cold or hot air to be blow.....but if u dun use the AUTO button and manually set the fan speed and temp, i think as long as the temp u set is below 26deg, cold air will always blow out irregardless of temp inside and outside the car......
