DIY curtain - How to stick curtain frame on the door frame
« on: April 06, 2009, 04:04:50 PM »
Hi, brought a DIY curtain but having problem stick the 3M double side tape's curtain frame on the door frame. My door frame is quite oily because of the Leather & Vinyl cleaner. Any idea? thx.

I use turpentine to clean that surface. It washes off the wax on that area. After that just use a wet cloth over to clean it.

Hi Arias,

care to share where you got the curtain from and the cost? I am thinking of putting curtain also.

Alternatively, thinking of those blind where u pull it out and hook it on the other side. Not sure where to get it and how to install it.

Especially for the front windscreen, good to use when parking under the sun.

$40 from Autobacs. They charged $20 for two doors, not worth it...

I bought from autobac too for my previous ride also got problem sticking the 3M tape, end up never use. For my current ride i bought the car life curtain from e-rev. It comes with a primer for u to clean the surface and supposedly enhance the sticking.
