How about insuring the named insured as the sole driver of the car? I heard that it does hels to lower the premium abit ...

This will be useful if you are the only one who can and will drive the car within the family U also do not intend to let anyone else drive it.

One question in my mind - under such circumstances,  how abt those valet services? If those valet providers damage the car, then I presume that they have their insurances coverage to cover such losses under these circumstancess....  is this right?

Yes the excess would mean the amount u need to pay upfront when u claim ur own damage. Thus is always good to get one iwth low or zero excess. However when u 1st buy a nissan its all fixed. I'm looking to change it after 1st year to one with zero excess.

From my experience for the past 3 years, Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group gives the best rate for me. Call direct to their office and the staffs will take it up from there. Friendly.

:smile:It is unlimited windscreen replacement, doesnt' affect NCD.

same here ... looking at other good alternatives <>> low excess, good windscreen change and if possible, any repair done aany workshop...

most of the policy is >> repair at authorised workshop... can check with the agent if my "fav" workshop is "authorised" or not??
or is it worth while to have a policy with "repair at any workshop"??

I am on MSIG drive sheild with $500 excess for any  driver. Last time NTUC no excess but now come with at least $500 excess for second driver.  NTUC's premium is $300+ more than MSIG, I also got $80 petrol voucher from MSIG. You have to know how risky you are on the road? Then you can decide lowest premium or lowest excess.

Hi limck007,

I do not think so, comprehensive coverage and unnamed driver insured are 2 different things, I believe you have to inform ur insurer that you intend your insurance coverage to cover only yourself and no one else.

how come so expensive? did u claim b4? I  start to worry for my coming renewal later this year as well.....

try this to see how much you have to pay for MSIG. Mine was $711, 50% ncd, 2005 CVT.
