INSURANCE ANY KANGTAO???

Siao liao :crying: today just received my insurance renewal...wah piang one year old car insurance $2332.00 :scared: i think those insurance companies should just close shop since they don't seems to be able to control their cost...last year chu chia that time only $1460 now jump over 35%....seems like this is really a Uniquely Singapore thing..car get older insurance get more expensive... :confused1: :confused1:

Anyone kena the same thing? Got good insurance contact to intro will be very much appreciated.... ::)

Try MSIG (tie up with Standchart)

For me, I got approx $790 (30% NCD, 5% safe driver discount). Also, you'll get a $80 cashcard upon signup.

The best part of this cover is that it covers all your outstanding loan in the event of a total loss.

MadMatty, I had also just received my AIG quotation. Total $2492!!!  :out:
Did a quotation with MSIG and it was down to $1700+ and with the freebies it should be slightly <$1700.
Currently, I "outsource" the quotation to a friend working in motor insurance industry, now waiting for her to get back if there are better deal out there. :D

this year, my AIG insurance ($2490)>>> dropped to MSIG $1559 after she source out for me .

Probably mine is an OPC, age > 30, indoor job nature.

These play a part in the premiums as well.

yes played a great deal.
also yr age and occupation and the number of years of experience as a car owner with safe record.

Thhink OPC play a great part... me also >30 and indoor occupation and 10 yrs wif clean record.  And yet quoted $1015.

Last yr my friend buy from MSIG ard $800 wif 30% NCD and anyworkshop too... tis yr really damn ex

Increase in premium across many insurers in SG, as much as 40%! GSS...you see :(

My yr2 premium was < 990, but this yr is < 1250. Increase of $260!!! :scared:

Does changing insurer affects NCD  :confused1:

Try MSIG (Standard Chartered). You can get online quote if your record is clean.

Well for the past few days been hunting around from insurers, so far frm AIG the cut throat price of $2442 to MSIG quote of S$1900 right down to Tenet at $1600+. Unfortunately because this is just my second renewing (unfortunately using my wife name to register car she is a  non driver) my NCD is only 10% :(

but tks for the leads, will follow up on them and hopefully hit on the best available deal..

Got the same problem here. Last yr when i got my car, i paid 1400+ for insurance, this yr with 10% NCD, I still need to pay 1800++.......really siao liao....also, in the form stated that changes to policy is this excess of S$3000 applies to EYIDR. According to their definition, EYIDR refers to coverage of drivers who are elderly, young and inexperience driver....wonder can remove this part or not.....anyone got any idea....damn sian to see insurance goes up by so much...

Just check the MSIG website....not much cheaper lei...the excess down to $300 from my current of $600 and the price of the insurance preimum down by $300 from what AIG quotes me....any more lobang anyone?

MadMatty mentioned Tenet, maybe should look into it?
I know their travel insurance is attractive.

Yo...anyone tried the insurance from viewer's choice? I am using viewers' choice fuel card...so got extra discount...dun know if it is gd.....maybe some latioans here use before? Pls advise...
