hi guys,

Am on stock tyres & rims now, mileage is abt 40k, thinking of changing to 16" size. Main criteria for tyres is quiet and comfort.

Thinking of changing to Hankook V8 205/15 R16, as the reviews seems to be very good.

Btw, does Hankook change rims also?? What is the cost I am looking at for the rim change?? (if I am looking at rims that are lighter than the stock rims)...

Appreciate if any bro can shed some light.  Need to plan out the budget :)Thanks!

Bro Sol,
Have you changed your tyres yet? Any feedback on your new tyres?

Regards.

If your criteria is comfort and quietness, you may consider the Yokohama ASPEC DB. It does have complains regarding wet weather performance in its 15" version but from 16" 205 thread onwards, due to the greater surface area contact, its wet performance is decent for a comfort tyre. Saying this because that is what I am using and it is also recommended and used by my workshop boss.

The Hankook V8 seems very good as well, just a little more noisy I think but with better wet weather grip.

Same specs as mine.
Wet performance - excellent at 100 - 110 km/hr
Stability - improves a lot since it's a 16" rim
Noise - to me seems better than stock

No regret till now.

The noise will increase after 10K and 20K mileage.
