Nissan Preventive Maintenance Program (NPMP)
« on: September 18, 2009, 11:54:52 PM »
6 mths has passed since my last servcing but I have travelled only 7,000km.

Should I send to Tan Chong based on 6 mths or wait until my car has reached 10,000km?

How does the NPMP work?

you sure you want NPMP? Just drive to any tcm service center for servicing and sign up the NPMP there and then. You pay in full then they deduct one service out of 4 services. all NPMP come with 2x package A, 1x package B, 1x package C.

Hi,

I personally find that NPMP is very good.
If you guys have extra buck to spare $1091 for 40k service.
Please go ahead.

As for me i will prefer to go outside workshop to do.
Even for my CVT oil change.
It still cheaper to do outside, even if i have to change belt, filter etc.
You can do your own calculation, how many time u change ur belt, plug in 40k.
Also some of the item not include.
Like A/C filter etc.

Put it this way la.
TC will not be so ******** to offer a rate that they don earn much from it.

regards

Hi,

I totally agreed with bro Ying.
Money not alway the issues.
But it might be a lot of issues for me, when the market is bad. :crycry:
So we have to give and take.
"Ai hong sui dou ai jia shu" ( hokkien)
" Want enjoy, then except"
Or we look for a better workshop.
eg: Orix, comfort delgro, auto saver, auto bac.
At least there some one to complaint. Since there are more big.

That why i said, if our bro can fork out S$1091 at one go.
Then go for it, as NPMP is really a very good program.
I also from the program.
But due the the 1 x cost.
i decided to service outside after my NPMP end.

In July 09, I just signed up for the NPMP program for my 40K.
Reason for signing, everything like cvt, brake, belt,.... all included liao. Car got any problem just go back bang table and they also lan lan.
Although doing at outside workshop might be cheaper, there is also an element that u might be chop and end up more ex.

PS: After my 40K, I notice my tires are rotated. Best of all my front tires are rotating in the opp direction!! My tires are directional and the god damn arrow so big they still can miss.
How come everybody post count all so high?

agree, TCM's NPMP neither the best service available nor the cheapest. It is more for general car user.  If I have more mods, I will look for a workshop that can tune and maintain all parts(mods).

I dont know much about the market, but prudent on spending is always good.

hI,

I agreed with Ah Xiong.
They also rotate my tyre in my last servicing.
And cos my car to go to the left.
Cant travel striaght.
So go back KPKB that why they actually rotate the wear tyre to the front.'
And rotate blindly w/o checking.
So they lan lan, rotate back and give me a free wheel alightment.

I decided to sign another term with them after much thinking.
Cos it cover CVT, brake pad and etc.
And can bang table. Hahahahaha!!!!!

Most important, is the CVT
If we service the CVT there, and there any problem in future.
At least we still can have thing to fight.
CVT cost 15k. Knn must well change car better.

So i have to save hard for the $1091.

Hi Alex

Where did u do ur servicing? I did mine at Ubi.  :nonod:

Actually there is a way to save a bit on the NPMP price. I purposely sign up for a Standard Charter card to pay for the NPMP because there is a promo with 10% for the 1st 1K signed. So after the rebate I only paid ~$991. Confirm cheap!!

The CVT warrantly will only cover up to 3 years or 100000KM which ever comes first regardless of NPMP program or not. Does signing up for NPMP entitles for extended warrantly? If yes would be a good dea.

Hi Alex

It was road show by standchart. I dont know if it is their common promo a not.

Hi Carowner

The warranty should be 3 yr or 100k which ever come first. Dont think NPMP will "provide" extended warranty.

It's only at the new orchard ion, have to sign up there, not any other branch or online. When you go there will see a banner showing the 20%.

If you open a savings account together with the card, you get a swatch watch free. Promo still on till dec, last time till sep I think, they extended.
