Need advice in changing tyres (60k km liao)
« on: December 01, 2009, 05:43:20 AM »
Hi all bros and sis,

My ride has reached 60k km and i tihnk its time to change the tyres ..

I am currently using Bridgestone GR80 on 185/65/R15. I think this is a good tyre !

But too bad this tyre not in production. So need advice on any other good tyres similar to GR80.

please advice with price as well.

And one more thing, which is a good and reasonable priced workshop to go for tyre replacement.

Thanks!
GKF

Hi GKF,

I am using Falken Ziex ZE-912 for the past 10K. Is good .... driven to KL with it also.

Recommend you to consider Soh Tyre Battery Enterprise .. 4001, AMK Industrial Park 1 #01-03. Tel: 64549071. Look for Uncle Frankie Soh

Ziex 912 will get very noisy after 20k km, but grip still not compromise.

Try Bridgestone MY01 Touring Sports Tyre which comes with directional thread.

Superb grip in wet and dry. Only setback is noise.

Hi

Juz upgraded a new sets of wheels and tires from Hankook new store at Kaki Bukit yesterday. Service is excellent. recomd me the Ventus Rs 205/50/ZR16 Hankook H424 with a 16in rims at $960 a little ex as the rims are not very known ones (Zumbo brand)(promotion price till end this year.). Can feel that the grip is a lot better than old michelin i had...
