Advice on disastrous FC

(1/4) > >>

Latio2005:
Hiya. Haven't been logged on for a while as I've been busy with work.

Would appreciate some advice from fellow Lations on my problem.

1. Recently found mileage to be very bad. Sometimes as bad as 9.2km/litre. This is when compared to 11km/litre previously (based on same setup).

2. Engine seems noisy especially sometimes during start/stop driving where I need to step harder to get moving. Especially apparent in upslope of MSCP carparks. Noise and jerkiness experienced.

My setup:
Latio Sport CVT with 102k mileage.
215/45/R17
Spark bridging
ez stab
alutec crank pulley.

So far some commented could be time to change sparks, while some also commented may be fuel filter.

Appreciate advice on this.

Thanks!

Ying:
so did you change the sparks plug (which should be replaced at 100k km) and clean the fuel system?

when is the last time you change your air filter?

Latio2005:
Have yet to do either although I was scheduling for a spark change in 3k more during my service which is due @ 105k.

As for air filter, I'm using a Hurricane which I put in so long ago I forgot about it earlier in the previous post.

Is a suffering FC a typical reaction of worn out spark plugs?

Would

Thanks, but I don't think it's engine oil as I'm quite staunch about changing engine oil. I'm uding X-Rev.

Cheers!
