hi rocket,
i am not sure. they replaced these for me leh?
i just drove there, explained to them the issues that i encounterred, sign up npmp.
he asked me whether want to do "normal service" or "major service", i said 40000km shld be Major right? then he do the "major" one for me? is it bcoz of that that's why they chg these for me? my mistakes or their mistake leh?
i blur....
-
hi rocket,
normally when do you guys change these ah?
-
Not critical, but better check your wiper size. My 20K servicing also changed wiper at TV Lokyang somewhere in April. Only yesterday when I bought a 16" silicon wiper refill that I realise my short wiper is only 14" . Original should be 16". Still thinking whether to buy cheapo wiper and replace the blade.

they never return back to me leh. i chg to silicon DIY one @ KL few mths ago leh.... that one can last for 2yrs.... at least....
but i thk the one TCM chg for me one can oni last for 1yr...
regards.
-
hi ender,
actually, 14" and 16", shld be ok right?
our original Latio wiper is how many "?
-
Original is 16".
Actually 14" or 16" no diff. I was using the 14" happily without realising it. Only thing is my 16" silicon refill needs to be cut to fit in the 14". But I'm thinking of going back the Tesco and getting a their cheap house brand 16" wiper, and change rubber to my refill

thanks for ur info. to make me feel better aso. hope we benefits from the npmp leh.
to all, one more thing i wanna to highlight, i dun feel the "power" after they use fastflo EO for my ride leh? did they really change for me or not? how to verify or chk? chk the EO myself (as usual the daily method we use? see the clearness of the EO?)
my 4th service @ KL, using Mobil EO, after chging it, i can feel the "zooommmmmmm" effect leh...
my 5th service @ autosaver, 29000km, they use REV1 for me, 5W40 also, i can feel the "zooommm" aso leh...
but this wed, tcm chg the fastflo for me, i dun feel the "zzooommm" leh, how come ah?
another question, so my "old: (still new, i chg a btr one @ KL, the silicon can last for 2yrs one) wiper, shld i take it back from tcm? donno they still keep it or not?
and, tcm never give me the "fastflo" EO, how do i topup myself if i need leh? drive to them to ask them to topup for me?
thanks.

Hello all
Regarding my Wiper's silion part & the Fastflo EO:
I called Steven, he said my old one they might have thrown away... & jialat...
He said can replace for me anytime or i can go there to collect the wiper's silicon part anytime OR replace for me in future if the current one goes KO.
He keyed in the Wiper's info into their computer system so that i can go there to redeem anytime in future.
As for EO, he said i can drive in to ask them to topup for me anytime. They will not give extra/backup EO for us.
He is helpful. Sui. No regret to sign up NPMP.
Thank you.

When you want to service your car, call them to check for time slot. Drive there with LTA letter or other doc that prove you are the owner of the car. While they service your car, you can settle the paper work in office.

i think because fastflo sucks, haha, as for topping up engine oil, i never had to do it as the level never falls below the 'low' level. But if it does, yes, i think you just drive to tcm, ask them top up for you.

Hi, what is "lengloi"?
Hi HC,
Believe iagree referring to beautiful ladies, he a buaya.
-
think he means pretty girls. yeah? think the NPMP is mainly for ppl who dun mind sacrificing a bit of power (maybe pyschological?) for a peace of mind. my colleague has been with tcm for the past 10years and everytime he has signed for NPMP.

Hi HC,

I see, Jazz. So he was using cantonese.

I think NPMP will have some savings since the price for 4 servicings is lock-in. Even though the savings is not much now if you compare the individual cost of the 4 servicings vs the package price, I think it is likely that the cost will be adjusted upward over time. Hence, the savings will be more.

Hi Ying
Logon to www.nissan.com.sg , book the timeslot DIY. It's so easy and hassle free.
But one thing, if we make a phone call to TCM to book for a timeslot, the customer service girl shld be sweet & pretty, no harm give them a call to book for it loh. U agree?
-

hi dsrio,
i thk i hv to agree with u. i thk fastflo is sux.
but i sign for npmp liao, bring own Amsoil EO there to ask them to chg, is a waste, but if i wanna to try out to see whether fastflo is really sux or not, i may try in my next service. gd idea?
ya, iagree with u, my oil level aso never fail below Low level, so never topup b4.

Hi HC
NPMP, save alot of more, many of us may not be aware of...
The indirect cost might incur shld be like "Labor cost" for certain service rendered to our ride, tyre rotation & balancing aso need to be charge, and etc etc. alot more...
But with NPMP, i just tell them all my problems & get them to solve everything for me. Bo chap. Anytime (song song) i aso can drive in to ask them to Check this n that... if we realise there is sthing that we dun feel comfortable... for e.g. after they chg fastflo EO for me , my ride is not very vzzroommmable, then i can drive there to lut them aso loh. customer is always right?
hassle-free.
anyway, the above is my 20cents oni.
Regards.

Well, go for NPMP and got chance to see & also BOOK them, why not leh?
NPMP is still the best ^$^

Best time to sign up for NPMP?
-
There is no best time to sign up NPMP.
Once you signed, it is 4 servicings (last abt 2 years assuming half year service once) which u paid upfront. So I will pick a time to sign up which in the end before i sell or scrap my car, i would have utilised fully all the 4 servicings.
Also make sure that you would have changed (FOC under NPMP) the expensive parts which are failing or dued for replacement during the 2 years or 4 servicings.
-
As for NPMP,
Is it something like 4 servicing or 2 years depending on which come 1st ?
Or you can decide to service every 10K kilometers ?
Can I confirm that there's no hidden charges once you sign up, that means there's no extra charges for labours and parts that are replaced ?
Thanks
-
Hi all,
I paid S$1091 for the NPMP today at TCM@Bkt Timah
Last week I also sign up for this plan

NPMP covers 4 servicings = 40,000km (4 x 10,000km).
I am assuming i cover 10,000 every 6 mths.
So total 4 servicings in a year...
I think for NPMP, not all parts are covered.
NPMP is NOT a comprehensive maintenance package.
For this, i myself also haven sort it out. But i think Nissan website got some info on it.
-
Can refer to following site for more info:

Sign up NPMP, did full servicing, and change 4 tyre.
Surprising - TCM carried Falken ZE912 tyre at $80 per piece (185/65R15)
After servicing and change of tyre
I observed the following :
a) Steering wheel feels extremely light as compare with before servicing - maybe something to do with belting or hydrauli ??
b) Less noise while driving - got something to do with the tyre
b) Engine less noisy and more power when ram accelerator. However, pick up from stop position become slower, before serving and change of tyre, my latio can easily accelerate from stop @ 1800rpm. Now seems to have to push slightly beyond 2K RMP before it really starts to roll.
-
a) Steering feels lighter is likely due to new tyres.
c) Pick up slower? Did you check the tyre pressure?
-
Front = 240
Back = 220
Pressure same for old and new tyre
-
At what speed you encountered the light steering feels?

From stationary to motion.
At any speed it feels lighter than before.
It is obvious when manuipulating in MSCP.
The worst is the pick up speed, deteroriate after servicing, now has to step harder on the accelerator from stationary before the wheel starts rolling. Before servicing, light steping (RPM between 1600 to 1800, car can pick up speed easily at stationary).
Any advise, is it because of the new tyre ? Or becos of the fastflo engine oil ?
Thanks
Regards
-
IMHO,
1. Your new tires has less rolling resistance, thus easier to steer.
2. Old tires rubber has hardened & will be noisy. Almost all new tires rubber are quiet initially. You'll feel big difference in the noise level.
3. New engine oil could be thicker, thus pick up slightly sluggish as compared before.
-
If the new engine oil is of the same viscosity, how could it be thicker?
-
I believe the other of your queries have been answered by the others.
I'm addressing only the 'light steering' issue. For this, check your tyre pressure. TCM tend to over-pump the recommended tyre pressure. Over-inflated tyres will make steering feels light due to the less contact to the ground.
Front : 230kpa
Rear : 210kpa

Yo guys
Back to msia for cny.
I have no complaint abt TCM's Fasflo liao, in msia for 1wk+, my FC achieve 13km/L, siok.
When back to SG, FC is worsen, 10km/L to 11km/L, i believe is due to short distance and lots of traffic light (stop & move & stop too frequently)
Gong Xi Fa Cai & Happy New Year ..

hi hammer
i believe the most 'obvious' benefit if u compare with npmp or non-npmp, u can see there "labor charges".....
the labor charges may cost us a bomb.... so, npmp is the best.
i hv no complaint abt NPMP liao...
fasflo EO is not a problem now... my FC is normal.....

but < 100km, the impt parts are covered under wrty.
if ur parts are still under wrty, tcm hv to chg for us even though we do not sign up for NPMP.

Yup it will be close to 2 yrs. However tmr going for 1st k servicing liao within 2 weeks

JUst realised that I should sign up for the NPMP at 20k servicing. As the free servicing will end on 10K. And from the workshop can top up abt $20 for Shogun 0W-30. And if at 10K can top up more for use of synthetic oil. The service at autoclinic rather fast for those without much complains.

Hi All,
Few of us have experienced using Shogun Fully-Syn Oil, where we encountered worse performance than the Fastflo Fully-Syn Oil that they use under the NPMP program. U can try to search for our past discussions here. I hv switched/top-up once to Shogun, and found a decrease in power and higher petrol consumption, therefore immediately switch back to use Fastflo. Therefore recommend those under NPMP to use the Fastflo EO, no nd to spend additional top-up for Shogun.
-
Oic thanks for the sharing. However Flasflo no 30w EO.
-
hi all
now i so used to the eo liao
fasflo
quite ok leh.

I have been a believer of amsoil. M<y previous getz using 10-40 and eventually 10-30, FC can achieve ard 12.2km/l but as the cost to use own eo when on NPMP does not make it that worth the trouble and cost.
-
Not too sure on AMsoil. Got mine from the previous MO cheap..
Been using this Amsoil for about 5000km already, and at last engine oil check, the oil is very dark. Engine also quite rough, Makes me wanna to do a oil change.
Previously on mobil 1 and Carlube, never have the concern that needs to do oil change around 5000km usage. want to try other brand after these.
-
For Amsoil, there are different range/grades of oil available. Which range of oil you using?
