i-key
« on: June 16, 2008, 06:28:58 PM »
I just lost my Latio i-key yesterday at East Coast Park while playing soccer.  :crycry:

Now driving with the other duplicate normal key. :( :(

TCM charges about $200 to make another i-key.

Anyone knows a cheaper source to make the i-key?  :confused1:

Hi jaydos,

Try the following

http://www.autokey.sg/index.php

They will code the key for you too.

Cheers

I think they only need few min to do it (if they have the ready hardware avail - the key which without the codes stored)

But, they will tell customer it would take few days to do it! Reason: can sell higher price lah if let customer wait for few more days...!

Hi Folks,

It's safe, very safe ,I have done it with them before...they are licence locksmith, very reliable.

They will plug in their handheld computer in to the OBDII Port to program the New ikey

and will duplicate the spare key too.

How I know it's safe? the car is still with me after 3 years, haven't lost it yet.

Cheers

With computer, as long as you know how to decode it, it's always crackable!!!

Hi Silver,

This was about 3 years ago...it cost me a arm and a leg......i paid $250

It would probably cost less now as our latio is getting common.

I understand TCM is only charging $170 .....any clue?

Cheers
