Hi all

I saw this various Packages on nissan website.

http://www.nissan.com.sg/service/price1.cfm?pkg=C

Service Package C, price is S$422, for mileage 40k, 80k & 120k

Worth?

Or sign up NPMP is more worthwhile? Will 1091 is net price for 4 servicing?

NPMP servcing goes by Package A-B-A-C.
A is the cheapest and C is the most expensive.
If u add up 4 servicings cost individually, u pay slightly more only.
But if u choose NOT to take the NPMP, u can still follow the NPMP sequence (A-B-A-c) yourself.
But hey, u can bring in yr own preferred oil! and they will cut the price by $80 or $90 of the package price per servicing. e.g if package C is $422, u pay only $342 if u bring yr own oil.
End up it is still worth it as it is cheaper and u are using yr preferred oil.

$1091 is net price (i signed liao - like no instalment one)

i think the good part of npmp is not the servicing, rather the renewal of belting, brake pads, lights foc etc

also its only worth it if 1) u dont mind their engine oil 2) dont want any hassle (ie servicing & warranty complain can do together) 3) live near TCM ;D

hi ckyc

ic. good idea. if chg of belting, brake pads, and lights are FOC (if anything happen to it anytime? can go back to tcm to chg anytime@foc?) quite a gd deal then if inclusive of these.
now 37000km, belting need to change?

i think i am going to list down what r the issues that i am encountering and will tell the engineer tomolo.

now, is 37000km, will it be too late to sign up this npmp @ 1091?

thanks.
sorry, i must agree because i don't know how to disagree. agreeeee only....

My mileage is now 41000k and is still eligible for the NPMP.
If change of belting, brake pads, lights and other parts are covered under the NPMP, then it is quite worth it. But to get the most out of the NPMP, sign up only when your beltings and brake pads are about due for change.

If only TC says it is still eligible for NPMP despite the high mileage... i think it will be worth it...

hi all

i signed up for S$1091 npmp today morning, when i went for my 40000km servicing at tcm bkt timah... today 10am... saw a few lengloi there but didnt get any coz busy with 2little boys...

yes, they chg the belting, wiper balde, shgun brake fluid , coolant 1L, joint assy-stee, rotate and balance tyres, renew all belting, carry out 40000km service (major service, under npmp prog), use fastflo 100% synthetic oil, carry out side slip check, renew both front brake pad,

due to the issues i highlighted to them, they aso do this for new @ FOC -> renew steering coupling, chk beltings noisy when start up, chk steering knocking sound...

i just realised, my wiper, was changed by tcm just now for my 37300km service (40000km), they didnt return back to me leh? how ah?

and the fastflo EO, no 'remaining' for me to topup myself one ah?

i like hassle free.... too... having peace of mind now , as i travel alot to msia, johor & kl. feel more comfortable than autosaver or any workshop out there.... TCM is the best! Go!

mr nymin9, iagree with u.

hi Midnight

ya, start npmp from 40000km is ok also.
Steven was shock when i told him my mileage is 37000km+... haha... but he still recommended n explained to me  the npmp, is more worthwhile...

npmp include 2A+1B+1C services.
C is for major services, which is what i hv done today.
next service will be A

for C, indv price is abt $400+
for A, is abt $180+
for B, is abt $300+

but for npmp, the price is S$1091 (inclusive of gst) (free 4 times, 2a1b1c), and, it doesnt charge us 'labor fee and other misc fees anyhow...'. if we service our car with indv service type, there are many 'fees' to be paid separately.

Yo brother, looks like it is really a good deal.

1. Any idea what is "joint assy-stee" and renew "steering coupling"? Does it solve the steering knocking sound?

2. I think TC will allow us to start the NPMP program at any mileage since the package will always include 2A + 1B + 1C. They dun lugi and we dun benefit in anyway.

The only drawback for me is the EO that they are using. Very likely is w40 or w50. Not fuel efficient...

Hi Midnight

The Steering coupling is to solve the steering problem, when i do 3-point-turn, it has the "knocking sound", i told him all the problems that i thk they shld solve for me when i was there for servicing, he wrote down and ask the service engineer to chk for that , item by item. remember, must tell them Wu A, Bo A, if can, just tell them all the big matter or small matter, ask them to solve THIS & THAT. just lut, mai kia. i will drive back to them again if my issues still not solve, so, i cant really tell u whether the noise still exist or not...

yes, EO they use is fastflo 5w40. yes, u can choose to ask them to chg to w20 if u wish, shld be foc or may be topup abit more only. no harm asking them. i listened to Steven's explanation, so i leave it to them to chg 5W40 for me. let's try it out loh. next 10000km is very soon one.

My previous ride has timing belt, fan belt, steering belt and alternator belt (not sure). If Latio refers to the same.

If i am not wrong, Latio Pre (CVT) uses timing chain.
Lation 4(AT) uses timing belt (which need to be change around 80,000km)

Eh i read yr other thread, u also complain about car start up noisy and they change the belt for you? Yr car 04' 2007, relatively new, so fast change liao ah.... mine is 12' 2006....

i think 5w20 the oil is too thin... i would prefer 5w30 for now. Do they have it? I thought the price is the same regardless of w20, w30 or w40....

hi Midnight

ic. i am not sure abt cars. i leave it to them to do anything they like.
he asked me 'major service or normal service?'
i said shld be Major service for 40000km right? then he take it as Major service.
was it becoz of that , that's why the beltings were changed?

sorry allow me to clarify...

both 4AT and CVT difference is the type of gear box. while timing belt or timing chain is on the engine to control the engine timing. timimg chain/belt which is on the engine, has got nothing to do with the gear box.

as for CVT, it is true that there is a belt inside the gearbox. this belt can be of normal belt or steel belt. the latio CVT uses steel belt fyi. note that 4AT does not use belt.

therefore,

My previous ride has timing belt (all cars got timing belt), fan belt, steering belt and alternator belt (not sure)(usually the belt is shared). If Latio refers to the same.

If i am not wrong, Latio Pre (CVT) uses timing chain.(should be regard as chain belt and not timing belt as the belt does not serve any timing purpose)
Lation 4(AT) uses timing belt (which need to be change around 80,000km)(4AT's gearbox does not use belt, but engine does have a timing belt like any other cars do)

hope it clears the air. :)

yo bro, thanks for giving us an insight on the cvt gear box tt uses a steel belt.

to clarify, when I say Latio 4(AT) uses timing belt, I mean "a latio with 4 speed auto gear box" uses timing belt. not refering to the gearbox using timing belt.
