5W50 engine oil
« on: June 25, 2008, 05:04:33 PM »
Hi all , can our Latio use 5W50 engine oil? Heard this grade is for racing car only, is that truth?

Any kind souls to help me thanks. One more thing my latio is only 1 year old next month.

Cheers

Bro...5W50 is not recommended for new car...only use on car 5 years above. please don't change your latio to 5W50 you will regret after changing it..coz FC definitely up and engine become heavy due to thicker oil. Te meaning of #W## is 1st 2 digit represent oil visco at low temp and last 2 digit mean oil visco at high temp. Anyway our latio recommend at 5W30. Wait no more buy your own oil to TCM for your nxt sv. I'm using MOTUL engine oil at 5W30.....superb after the change out from mineral.

I get it from Huat Lee Eunos at $130/4L for MOTUL 300V, if you look for a cheaper option is MOTUL H-Tech 100 at around $80/4L.
