« on: August 14, 2008, 10:14:18 AM »
Singapore's 3/4 tank (3/4 fuel tank before exit SG)

Remote Control to control the fuel gauge...

The Custom Officer press on the Remote Control, the indicator can show from "E" to "F" and "F" to "E", how scary.

Those guys kena caught at the chkpoint few days ago.

So, guys, remember must topup to 3/4 before exit chkpt.

No play play.

Regards.

I think the Customs people are reasonable people.

If your fuel indicator is just a little below the 3/4 mark, they will not fine you.

But in this case of tampering with the fuel tank gauge, there is a clear intention to cheat.

Latio is not worth to pump in JB as the top 1/4 tank cannot take in much petrol - 10 litres at most.

When the fuel indicator is at the bottom 1/4 mark, I can pump in only 32 litre of petrol, which means the bottom 1/4 tank is holding on to 18 litres of petrol.

By the time the Matrix owner takes 5 min to pump in that extra litre, the petrol would have evaporated, so not worth it.   :out:
