it is insurance companies' "privilege" to increase premium/excess. They had claimed that last year was a bad year for them as they sufferred losses due to high claims amount. Thus we see an increase in premium and excess for all motorists across all companies.

that's wat the SE said lor  :out:

I was in insurance underwriting before and I can tell you the alarming numbers of exhorbitant and fake claims are the main culprit.

Blame the increase of premiums on those black sheep workshops that send their COE cars on the road and highways to deliberately cause a chain collission. That's a multi million dollar business for them.

Car owners who collaborate with workshops to cause further damage to their cars to inflate the claims, and make false medical claims should also be shot for their selfish acts.

Scary, I thought this can only be found in Malaysia.   :w00t:

Imagine you buy a TC car and not a Latio in the first place.  :scared:

Turbo charged (TC) cars and N.A. cars are in 2 different leagues altogether.

TC cars and coupes tend to command higher premiums compared to N.A. family saloons like Nissan Latio.

Is there a difference between Brands also (assuming same CC), eg Honda vs Toyota vs Nissan?
Heard that Honda cars pay higher premium.
