« on: December 11, 2008, 05:23:58 AM »
Hi bros,

would like to know some reviews for the latio sports 4AT. Hows the pick up (cos latio have the highest torque in the comparison of category 1.5 and 1.6), when taking over cars and the responsive wise. Thks.

Expectations can differ, but for me, I find its pick up and power on Latio 4A/T more than adequate.

Its 1110kg body weight is lighter than most 1600cc cars like Cerato, Civic, SX4 and Altis.

dun think ppl choose latio for the pick-up, more for the comfort. if you like constant overtaking better think twice or have to invest in mods like lighter rims, or ecu tuning as some bros here says its   :clapping:

mine is cvt and sometimes overtaking is  :bandhead:

I can't comment about CVT as I don't drive one, but for 4 A/T, if you need to overtake or kick down, just depress the accelerator all the way and you will exceed the legal speed limit in a matter of seconds.

Mine is CVT sedan. I used the sport mode to overtake in malaysia trunk road, where during overtaking you have to eat into oncoming lane, and window period for ovetaking is usually less than 20sec before you see an oncoming veicle headings towards you. Engaging sport mode can increase from 80 to 120 km/h in matters of a few seconds. Flooring the pedal alone is not as effective..

yo bro i jump everywhere...i want to learn abt the model and performance so at least i know whats next for my family. Also i dun expect it to have high performance but at least a decent good pick up for our local singapore road, as you know there's a lot of stop and go and also tonnes of slip road....with my current ride i almost vomit blood.....heheh

so meaning the responsive wise is good too?...since you said that 'you will exceed the legal speed limit in a matter of seconds'...if matter of second then the responsive is good!..wwoohhoo!! just step on it and it go at your command...thats good review!

Only Sylphy 2l runs on CVT.

I am driving Sylphy 1.5l which shares the same identical engine and 4A/T gearbox as Latio.

This is amazing!   :w00t:

There is no way I can get close to 12km/l on your driving habits.

How did you do it?
