Heheh, managed to hit 700km before low fuel light comes on. Went to pump straight away calculate FC.

18.83km/l! Still far from my target 20km/l... Last time still can hit when driving 95% highway, 5 % city. Now weather so hot have to on AC, plus some city driving liao, so FC drop.

Also confirmed low fuel light comes on when tank has around 8 litres of petrol left.

Of course accurate. I've gotten 19+km/l before, so this is entirely possible. I try to off aircon whenever possible, but recently damn hot lah!

I think "just" not really follow closely on the FC topics and that's why got doubt on yr meter reading (which I did too b4). Fri13th and SoL are a few with FC > 18km/l (and constantly hit this records) and also share quite a number of Great tips on FC. Thanks

Ya, you are right, I just log in whenever I'm free, din read all the history posts.
To me they are very amazing to achieve double of what I or most of us hitting.
This also show how inefficent the FC of an engine - a lot(about half) of fuel is wastage due to our bad handling of the car.

Haha I wouldn't say bad handling, just that its a different style of driving. I used to get ~14km/l  last time, and i would get very happy when I hit 15km/l. That was the days of aircon and 120km/h and 3k rpm.

Now I realised I'm doing fine even with 80km/h and 2k rpm, and sometimes even when I tried to drive more aggressively to see how low FC I would get, I'll always heart-pain. I guess its a habit already!

Well its one habit I'm not going to get rid off anytime soon! ;)

I realised Latio can get >17km/l but have to drive at certain pattern. If it is safe to drive a little faster, I will buy some time with that little amount of petrol. I got 16km/l+ before driving at 90~ 100km/h on highway once, and that's it.

FC is depend on 1) how keen you want to set record FC
                       2) how much you value the time taken over the petrol used.

I get single digit FC in SG but its ok, I am happy with what I have. My one tank last one month, what else can I ask for  My FC will cross 10km/l if I have more green lights on the road.

I also can get +16km/L drive around 90kmh SG to Melaka non stop. However in daily city driving. frequent start stop means more petrol needed to overcome car inertia to make it start moving, so FC sure bad even I drive at 90kmh. When the car is moving, minimum petrol is needed to maintain constant speed.

Hi bro Ying, i think u hv missed out the details, actually can hit > 19km/l (if not be cos of Melacca city drive). My better FC only come in after the RPM tuning (it's referring to engine speed) done by autosaver (reduce from 736rpm to 690+rpm).

how to not let the needle not drop so fast?

how to pump till rim for latio, aka the oil stablise at rim? after >10 times 0f going to rim, the petrol still goes down.

Hehe means you haven't pump till full la! Try to go slowly bah. But I heard pumping to full is not good, will damage the fuel sensor.

Hi, it's done by autosaver, handheld diagnosis device (i think, not sure what's a correct name for that). I'm referring to the print out copy for this RPM details.

Hi SoL, for me, it's doesn't matter anymore as I usually pump to the rim and believed the sensor already spoil liao :devil2:
