AMK u can go to AMK industrial park, either can go Poh Heng, or Soh Bros.

Anyway, patching of tires is a simple job, no need to go for shops that specialize in patching of holes (because there aren't any  ::) )

hi there... if the screw doesn't cause a leak, must it be removed? or just keep it there? haha... cos i have a screw in there as well for months, but my tyre does not leak significantly at all (the pressure loss is the same compared to the rest)

went to soh tyres after work this evening.
the screw was removed and they found that there was no leak, probably cos the screw is quite a small and short one. phew..
i suggest you go and remove it, and if no leak then at least some peace of mind. if leak just get it patched up.
cheers

If you keep the screw inside the tire, the condition may worsen after prolonged driving and leaking may start. If u r unlucky enuff, driving over uneven/rocky roads, the tire may just rupture because the point with the screw is weak already.

Remove it for safety, it is not expensive

I think when patching is needed then they will charge, ranging from $7 or $8 to $12 depending on the length of the nail or screw and how deep is the puncture.

If u want to save the money of patching, u can try yr luck at Comfort Delgro. Tell them the tire always lose pressure very fast and ask them to check what is wrong (act blur) and if any parts need to be replaced, tell you first before doing so. Chances are they will return you the car and told you they have pulled out the nail and patched the hole - FOR FREE.

3 yrs ago i had a nail in my tyre at AMK...i drove over to TC at Toa Payoh...they plugged the hole and charged me $10...took 30mins as they were attending to other cars on servicing. Last year i had another nail 1 month after i change to Hankook...i drove over to Hankook at Toh Guan, they plugged the hole at $8 (i think..)

Must always plugged your tyres if there is a hole.....it's only $8~$10...we are talking about safety of your life; your spouse & kids life....this kind of things we should never compromise....

I heard the psssss sound already and is very loud.
Anyway, this morning upon reaching carpark, tire flat out.
Drove 10km to tan chong bukit timah. Drive very slow.
They say the sidewall a bit 'ruptured' and sidewall got scratch mark due to driving driving with flat tire.
The tire man patch up the hole from inside for me and say damage not serious...

I think i'll just drive for the time being and be in observatory mode.
